In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, we learned how important it is that we forgive those who sin against us. If we don't forgive them, Jesus solemnly promised that God will not forgive us ( Matt. 6:14-15). What does it mean to forgive someone? Remember the 70 times 7 we have to forgive one and another. Jesus compared forgiveness to erasing someone's debt ( Matt. 18:23-35). Imagine someone owing you money and then releasing that person from his obligation to repay you. You destroy the document that recorded his debt. You no longer expect payment, and you are no longer angry with your debtor. You now see him differently than you did when he owed you money. We can also better understand what it means to forgive if we consider what it means to be forgiven by God. When He forgives us of a sin, He no longer holds us accountable for what we did that displeased Him. He is no longer angry with us because of that sin. He will not discipline or punish us for what we did. We are reconciled with Him. Father , thanks for your guideness always. Let us be ready to forgive those who hurts us and be ready to ask for forgiveness when we fail. Please put in our hearts, humble and simply of Spirit. We ask for Reconciliation and Forgiveness to all that are far from us. Give us the chance in your HANDS to make Amends. In Jesus Name AMEN. The Lord blesses you dear brothers and sisters.
WooHooHoooo, do I have a gift for you. I make it my pleasure, to give you a treasure, the best you can get any year. It has no glitter, neither sweet nor bitter, but can dry up any ole tear. It’s better than silver, money cannot buy it, it’s worth is much more than gold. You cannot hold it, nor embrace it with hands, your heart has to be open to hold. The gift that I bring, cannot be restrained, it gets stronger and each day renewed. For the gift that I bring, the best I can give, is Christ Love in me to You. Author: Sonny McGinn
